Our new card deck, Animal Instincts is now on Kickstarter! 🎉 Check it out for limited early-bird specials! ✨
My friends Darrin and Kodi White created all the beautiful illustrations while I had fun designing the boxes and the Oracle guidebook. Together, we worked with Max Playing Cards to select a world-class printer and produce an exceptional set of card decks. Animal Instincts is a symphony of collaboration, imagination, and craftsmanship.

My two previous Kickstarter projects were among the most rewarding creative experiences of my life. The support we received encouraged us to dive into the world of Animal Instincts and find out just how much magic we can pack into these beautiful card decks.

Hi,
For the last 18 months, I've been working with two of my favorite artists to create the coolest playing card and oracle decks I've ever seen. I'm probably biased :) But these card decks are special. My friends Darrin and Kodi White created all the beautiful illustrations while I had fun designing the boxes and the Oracle guidebook. Together, we worked with Max Playing Cards to select a world-class printer and produce an exceptional set of card decks.

Important status update for Ethereal Drams

We understand that many people intend to use the cards as gifts. So we appreciate the urgency around some of your comments and messages.
And I'm also dealing with a family medical emergency (more on that at the bottom). So unfortunately I'm not going to be able to reply to all comments and message individually for a little while.
First, here is what we know about shipping status of all the cards:
All US orders have been shipped! Yay :) 🎉
US backers WILL get tracking numbers in your email no latter than Friday. You'll likely get the tracking number sooner but Max is double checking everything to avoid any errors.
For Europe and the rest of the world – we think orders have been shipped (fingers crossed) but we're waiting to hear back from the fulfillment house to confirm. They have been slow to respond. If they have not shipped by now I imagine by end of week (almost for certain)
Here's what happened with EU and rest of world stuff – Our expectation was that they would have shipped many weeks ago. But a payment got stuck at some international transfer bank. So instead of making progress while it got sorted out (so they could ship on time when it eventually cleared), they decided to let everything sit. This was very disappointing to find out. That said the payment cleared last week so hopefully they've followed through as they promised.
EU and rest of the world backers WILL get tracking numbers (as soon as possible).
We really hope everyone gets their stuff in time. Nothing is more important to us than making backers happy. The only reason I want to create awesome projects like this is to bring joy to people. So to whatever extent you maybe frustrated by the timing, I'm genuinely sorry. Please just know we share your frustration (even as we take responsibility for it).
We've learned a lot through this process. Some of the lessons have been painful. Future campaigns will run much smoother as a result. We're only going to work with printers and service providers who care about your satisfaction as much as we do.
As always, if any packages get lost or are damaged just let us know and we'll make it right. Although some things are out of our control you can trust that this kickstarter is not over until everyone gets their stuff. That is my personal promise to you!
Now a sad personal update. We recently got news that a beloved family member has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. It's very aggressive and things are happening fast. My wife and I are devastated we are still seeing so much beauty in life. I think the only reason any of us feel pain and grief in the face of loss is because of how much love we feel for one another.
So please do me a favor... love the hell out of everyone you care about! You never know when suddenly someone may not be there. Every day is precious and the greatest gift we can receive is the blessing of being with others. The greatest give we can give is the quality of our loving attention.
In light of this family emergency I may not be able to reply individually to comments and messages over the next several weeks. I'm leaving town latter today so I can be there in for Dr. appointments and in person care/support. But regardless of any intermittent communication rest assured that Max and I are doing everything we can behind-the-scenes. Today, tomorrow or the next day at the latest – everything will be on it's way to you.
If something is truly URGENT you can send an email and Max will do what he can to help. But also understand that at this point shipping and tracking are out of our hands. We just have to let the process happen and we'll do everything we can to make everyone happy when the dust settles.

Ending on an positive note for the future :) I'm drawing a lot and working with Max to create a very exciting concept for some new decks. Even with all the turmoil in my personal world right now, it's a relief to draw at night when the craziness of the day settles down. Ethereal Dreams is one of the most beautiful projects I've ever work on. I truly hope that when you finally open your cards that you'll be thrilled and inspired by the results.

Shipping and status update.

Hi,
For those who celebrate, we hope you enjoyed a great Thanksgiving!
I just wanted to send a quick update to let you know that all of the cards have arrived at our fulfillment partners and will ship soon. They just need to get the orders sorted and organized. Usually this process is really fast so we expect cards to ship this week or next week.
That timeline has not been confirmed by fulfillment, but based on our experiences in the past it's our best guess right now.
As soon as the cards are on their way you should get a tracking number via email. 👍
In short, the good news is that everything is on track, the cards look awesome and will be on their way soon.
Enclosed are a couple of the photos of the inventory. I'm so excited to get my hands on these cards!

P.S. – In a previous update I said that European cards should have already shipped. Clearly I was wrong about that. Sorry! We had a bit of miscommunication that was likely my fault. Max set me straight.
